Who is Kristin?

Kristin McLean, the owner and primary music teacher for Magical Music, has been teaching music to kids and families for over eight years. Based in Boulder, Colorado, Kristin teaches early childhood music in many settings.

Kristin has a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies: Music and Early Childhood Education from Naropa University in Boulder. She has also been trained in and taught two early childhood music programs: The Music Class and Music Together. She is an accomplished singer, percussionist and guitarist, having played music and performed for many years.

As Kristin teaches, her passion for teaching music to kids is obvious. She loves the joy that children feel while making music. Kristin's philosophy is that everyone is musical, although people who have more musical experience as a young child usually have more musical confidence! Through her music classes for kids, she hopes to help children have fun, educational and successful experiences making music.

Kristin teaches preschool and daycare music programs in many schools in Boulder and surrounding areas. She teaches preschool, Kindergarten and First Grade music for Friends' School in Boulder. She also teaches music at the First Presbyterian Preschool in Boulder.

Kristin currently teaches Magical Music classes at the Boulder Jewish Community Center. She also teaches Music Together, an early childhood music program for kids and parents, in Boulder and Westminster.
